6120X - Extended 3G Camera Unit

Our most commonly used 3G module camera unit for covert applications. This extended 3G camera unit is adapted from a Nokia 6120 smartphone.

This unit comes with a camera lens and microphone on a flexible extension cable (10cm – 100cm). These units can also be supplied with a number of options as detailed below.

How it works:

Compatible with any 3G SIM card across all 3G networks, it is easy to set up and use, simply insert your SIM card and battery, and you're up and running. Make a video call from any 3G phone to the camera to watch and hear live video and audio.

The camera unit adaptations include the removal of the phone ringer and vibration functions to ensure covert operation. The screen light is not removed (so you can set the camera up), if screen light is likely to be a problem we recommend the phone be placed in a blackout phone sock, the screen be taped over with black insulation tape once set up or alternatively purchase the optional shrink wrap or hard case.

Sensor connections are also added to the phone to enable remote sensors to be connected. Any type of sensor can be wired to the unit, providing video calls, a MMS or SMS to a pre registered phone number when triggered. Alternatively the trigger can be used to set the camera to record.

Including the opportunity to add and delete authorised numbers, the system's flexibility invites a range of remote commands, functions and settings.

The camera will continue working for up to 200 hours using a backup battery when disconnected from the mains power.

Options (see Images tab below):

1. Shrink wrapped case - The camera unit is shrink wrapped in a black plastic cover making it totally covert (see image tab below). This does however, prevent the phone functionality being accessed so set up needs to be done via SMS. The camera is shown like this in the brochure.
2. Hard case - The camera is supplied with a hard plastic enclosure. This provides protection for the camera unit and ensure the camera unit is fully covert.
3. Lead extension - extend the camera/microphone lead up to 100cm*
4. Extended battery - 2000m/AH battery to triple the standby power of the camera. This is supplied with a special hard case to house the battery.
5. Signal boosting antenna - Fixed 3G antenna with signal booster. This is supplied within a special hard case to house the antenna.
